salam~ have u ever seen such road before in malaysia? i bet, no. these pictures were taken on my journey to makkatul mukaramah from madinatul munawwarah. my 1st ever trip , over the seas, milion miles away from home. alone? kindof. the lone ranger, went together with my auntie's famly. it was a F U N famly trip! was it a trip? hurmm.. ;)
the time was 12:37pm, middle of the noon where the sun was right up in the sky, shining brighter than ever before and the temperature was around 40 degree celcius, minimum. along the way of 400++ km, only desert can be seen on the roadsides, mountains of sand and rock. only few green plants can be found. but still, the green pigments on the leaves were turning yellowish brown as a result of the hot weather. few old petrol stations were found along the way. and definitely, the prices of the petrol/diesel were damn cheap.less than a riyal, if im not mistaken..
(warning ; i always lost when writing what im supposed to) :P
back to the picture above. spot the major diff found in the pics when compared to highways in malaysia!
its the signboards at the road side! if u look carefully, the words printed/written on it was the zikrullah.. i think , in malaysia, we have those too... but not in my area.. if im not mistaken (again) , those zikrullah can be found in kelantan and terengganu. how wonderful is that huh??
why cant those sigboards being planted everywhere on the roadsides.. or even on the pavement? remebering Allah while driving on the road.. thats cool.. yeah.. maybe we can even do it witout those reminder.. but as a normal human being, we are always forgetful.. even the 5 times a day prayers, barely people completed this pillar of islam.. wht bout zikrullah that is not compulsory/wajib to all of us? in my opinion, having those reminders will make us aware the akhirat is coming in no time... life is not for fun.. death can approach us at anytime.. just like the king of pop.. fyi, i became his fan since his death... i wonder y.. :( may he rest in peace.
THBT (this house believes that) :P those signboards of reminder of death should be up all over malaysia.. as Islam is her (universal) religion. so, wit that statement, i end my post :)
cheer!~
wslm :)
